Import Goods From India To Russia Via North South Transport Corridor
Introduction:
The TIR applyed under the rule of UN convention 1975.
India is the member of TIR since 2018, but somehow system was not connected instead of that some pilot projects carried out the shipment on trial basis. But from Dec 2020 this system was connected with customs to use TIR and executed on INSTC (International North South Transport Corridor).
The Traditional Sea routes starts from India to gulf , Mediterranean Sea , Europe and finally to Russia .
The sea transit time from Indian sector to Black Sea & Baltic Sea port is about 30 days + inland transit duration from Seaport to the final destinations delivering in Eastern Europe, Eurasian and central Asian landlock countries such as Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan or vice versa. In fact, it’s the longer route from Indian sector for the countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia etc.
Therefore, we can execute from Indian intermodal TIR movement for export & export on INSTC via Bander Abbas for the Eastern Europe, Eurasian and central Asian to by-pass and alternative of traditional sea route .
Now many of logistics company regularly transport goods from Moscow to UAE under TIR using this route and it is giving benefit of time reductions of up to + 20 days, and cost savings of + 15%. “Door-to-door, Hence , this route offers the best value regarding time and costs.
The IRTU (International Road Transport Union) has been an integral TIR System to the activation of this corridor, as it facilitates border crossing and transit procedures. With transport digitalization growing in the region, and the TIR and CMR system is already operational in the regions, the operators will be able to take benefit of even greater time savings as they move ahead to the paperless border crossing and customs procedures.
The route is considered the best shorted and economical from India to Russia and vice versa.
In the coming years the corridor will take more volume of cargos specially foods, fresh fruits & vegetables, Refrigeration cargo (Reefers) and quick delivers cargo. But the corridor cannot take whole volume of the traditional route, especially Bulky volume, over dimensions and heavy weight cargos because of the weight limitation of vehicles and each country weight limit on roads.
We Can carry any shipment from :

- With the utilization of this corridor, as much as the cargo containers will get into this route, the cost will be reduce accordingly.
